A musician from the hometown of Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada (currently Bond Head, Ontario). Chez has established himself as a creative/unique drummer from when he started playing at the age of 16.

His first band (1997) was Just Cause, North York based group that managed to have free rehearsal space and spare drum kit. Here he developed the skills to play along with other musicians, primarily learning "cover" songs from bands such as Soundgarden, Big Wreck & I Mother Earth. After a few months the band broke up and went their seperate ways.

In 1999 Chez joined Silent Madness (established between Woodbridge and Maple Ontario), a hard rock trio that were influenced by artists such as Black Sabbath and Metallica. They recorded in a local studio and released EP "In The Silence", that consisted of 4 original tracks. In attempt to promote the CD, they played many shows in Toronto & GTA such as 360, York University and The Rock. After a year of writing and playing shows, the band seperated.

In 2000, Chez discovered that a local band, Bonafyde, required a drummer. Immediately after joining, the group got hard at work and started writing original material. They played many gigs in Toronto & GTA such as The Firkin, Cactus Lounge, Ryerson University and Tequila Lounge. Bonafyde quickly developed a large underground fanbase because of their unique & catchy songs. After being in the band for a year, Chez began to develop Tendonitis which prevented him to play drums for long periods of time. He managed to record the drums for their CD, but shortly after had to leave.

Chez decided to go back to school and complete his Computer Programmer diploma in 2001. He then later landed a job at Sprint Canada and now is currently working as a Network Engineer for Rogers Cable. But inbetween 2001 and present...

Purple i was derived from two individuals who, over many years of musical kinship, realized how important music was to them and to the world. In 1999, two young inspiring musicians formed a hard rock band named Silent Madness. Over a two year span, the band played many small venue shows and developed a small but humble following. However, in the end Silent Madness mutually decided to disband and pursue other musical interests. One joined a catalogue of different groups, recorded demos, played many live shows and even recorded tracks for an independent film. The other, while playing with different bands, developed a passion for different musical genres and styles. After many years, these two musicians crossed paths once again and decided to start a new project on their own. From the moment they started writing their own music, culminating from a wealth of experience gathered over the years, they realized just how perfectly they worked together. These two individuals are simply known as Purple i.

Purple i completed a 4 song EP in 2007, selftitled. The song "Reborn in the Asylum" is currently being considered as part of a Canadian National TV program series. They are currently working on their EP which should be completed by late 2009. Listen and learn more at http://www.myspace.com/purpleimusic.

Between 2002 and present, Chez has taken strides to learn the fundamentals of sound engineering and recording. Years of renting equipment and learning how to utilize analog sounds, he has developed a very raw/organic standard that is almost non-existent today. To this day he is still learning and mastering great skills in sound, such as replicating oldschool funk/hiphop drum sounds.
